Traditional Drawings

Most of the comments I made about my paintings apply to my drawings as well. I've been drawing just as long as I've been painting as I believe the two go hand in hand. In fact, you may notice that a couple of the drawings here are actaully preliminaries for some of the paintings above.
The media shown here include graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, and India Ink.
Zoo and Aquarium Life Drawing Series

First off, I apologize for the not-so-great documentation quality of these images. At the moment I don't have access to the originals, but I intend to redocument them sometime in the future.
Anyway, a couple friends and I decided to do a series of animal life drawings and sketches. We took several trips to the Baltimore Zoo and Baltimore Aquarium, sitting or standing with our sketchbooks in front of tanks and enclosures. Some of the drawings took only a minute or so while others took over an hour. I put these into their own section because drawing animals from life is a very different skill set and one that has helped me become a beter animator.
